Irene G Dutra, 78, of Exeter NH

   Irene G (Murphy) Dutra of Exeter, NH, a homemaker died Thursday at her home. She was 78.
   Born and raised in Roxbury, Mrs Dutra had lived in Exeter for the past 25 years.
   She was a graduate of Roxbury High School.
   She was an avid reader enjoyed visiting the public library and volunteered at the Exeter schools by reading books to children. She also enjoyed Bingo.
   Wife of the late John P Mrs Dutra is survived by four sons Robert Stoddard of Junction City, Kansas, William J Stoddard of Hampton NH, John T of Tampa Fla, and Laurence of Weymouth; a daughter Janice A Stoddard of Weymouth; a sister Noani Civita of Fitchburg; a brother James Murphy of Fitchburg, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
   A Funeral service will be held at 11 am tomorrow at Brewitt Funeral Home.
   Burial will be in Exeter Cemetery, Exeter.

Dorothy Basteri of Arlington, 69, worked for IBM

   Dorothy A "Dotti" (Bernicchi) Basteri of Arlington, an administrative assistant died saturday at the Tibbet House, Needham. She was 69.
   Mrs Basteri was born in Somerville.
   She worked as an administrative assistant for IBM.
   She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl (Basteri) Richards and Kerry Cappucci; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
    A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am Thursday at St Agnes Church, Arlington.

Kathleen Emerson of Arlington, at 88, Somerville native

   Kathleen H (Brown) Emerson of Arlington, formerly of Somerville,  a retired administrative assistant, died Sunday in Weymouth after a brief illness. She was 88.
   Born and raised in Somerville, Ms Emerson resided in Arlington.
   She retired as an administrative assistant for Littman Stethoscopes in Boston.
   Ms Emerson is survived by her brother Arthur Brown of California; and several nieces and nephews.
   A Funeral service will be held at 12:15pm Thursday at Christ Episcopal Church, Somerville.
   Burial will be private.

Obit: Maurice Sponzo

Maurice Sponzo, 92, exonerated wrongly accused teenager.
   SIMSBURY, Conn -- Retired Superior Court Judge Maurice J Sponzo, a key figure in a 1970s murder case that cleared a wrongly accused Falls Village teenager, has died.
   Judge Sponzo, who served as a one-man grand jury in an investigation that cleared Peter Reilly in the 1973 slaying of his mother, Barbara Gibbons, died Wednesday. He was 92.
   Reilly confessed to the slaying after intense interrogation by the state police and the 18-year-old was later convicted of first-degree manslaughter. Reilly recanted the confession while serving a 16 year prison sentence

Lucile M. Rose 81, of Salem, NH, retired assembler
   Lucile M. (Cox) Rose of Salem, N.H. a retired assembler, died Saturday and Prescott House Nursing Home, North Andover. She was 81.
   Born and raised in Lawrence, Mrs Rose had lived in Salem for more than 50 years.
   She was educated in Lawrence Schools
   Mrs. Rose was an assembler for AT&T in North Andover
   She was a communicant of Mary Queen of Peace Church in Salem and the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Posts 8546 in Salem.
   She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and cooking.
   Mrs Rose is survived by her husband Frank, of Salem; a son, Francis B, of Davenport, Fla; a daughter; Charlene of Weare, NH; a brother, Bernard of Methuen; a sister, Marcelle of Bradford; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
   A funeral service will be held at 10 am tomorrow at Mary Queen of Peace Church, Salem.
   Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lawrence.
   Arrangements by Douglas and Johnson Funeral Home, Salem.

Carl H(enry) Doucette
   Lynn - Carl H Doucette, 38 22 Lander Ave, died. Friday at Atlanticare Medical Center later a brief illness.
   Born in Lynn, son of Charlotte M (Doucette) Doucetter of Lynn and the late Henry A Doucette, he lived all his life in Lynn.
   He attended local school, graduating from Lynn Trade, and was active in Lynn Youth Hockey.
   Mr. Doucette was an automotive body technician for York Oldsmobile in Revere for eight years and was also a part time employee of Airborne Express in Boston for two years. He had previously worked for Peterson Ford.
   He also leaves two sons, Kevin C Doucette, and junior at English High, and Christopher R Doucette, a Grade 6 student at Bagnal Elementary School in Groveland: two sisters, Edith A Penwell of Chula Vista, Calif., and Elaine C Leopold of Lincoln, RI and several nieces and nephews.
   The funeral will be held Monday at 8 am, from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St, with a mass at 9 in St Joseph's Church.
